Overview

We inhabit a world of images, which continually produce what we call History and Culture. As meaning-producing machines, images lead to stimuli whose significance is based on their sign, indication and symbolic nature. This course aims to understand and analyse the relational nature of visual signs, providing students with theoretical and practical bases for the semiotic model of image analysis.
