Overview
This course uses case studies of specific films to help students better understand the film editor’s profession and its challenges. Each class features a different guest film editor and a teacher-moderated analysis of their film, with active student participation. Each session focuses on a different aspect of film editing based on a film viewed independently in advance.
What You'll Learn
Students will be able to analyse specific films from an editing perspective; identify key creative and professional challenges faced by film editors and approaches to solving them; and critically evaluate and discuss different editing decisions and practices.
