Overview
Through short practical assignments and the development of a final project, students become familiar with the main principles of psychoacoustics and sound aesthetics.
What You'll Learn
Students will be able to understand the main principles of psychoacoustics and sound aesthetics; critically evaluate aesthetic choices in music recordings and film soundtracks; analyse how sound contributes to the overall perception of an audiovisual or musical work; apply principles of sound aesthetics in practical sound directing tasks; and develop and present their own sound-based creative solutions.
