Overview
The course introduces the main formats and principles of script pitching. Students learn to write a logline, short description, scene outline, treatment, synopsis and tagline, and to present a screenplay orally. Through practical exercises and peer analysis, students develop the ability to present ideas clearly, engagingly and within given time or length limits, while identifying the strongest elements of a screenplay.
What You'll Learn
Students will be able to prepare a screenplay pitch suitable for film festivals, producers, workshops and film funding applications; present their ideas clearly and confidently to an audience; and adapt the content and format of a pitch to different professional contexts and requirements.
